If you’re planning an elopement in Loveland, Colorado, there are many great options for destinations! Since we are the Sweetheart City, there are plenty of unique places around town to elope. And being located so close to the Rocky Mountains, there are potential venues just on the outskirts of town that are gorgeous and ideal for an elopement.
At Sweetheart Weddings, we do have our preferred locations. These are locations that we know are tried and true. We’ve done weddings here before, and we know we’ll have everything we need. But we certainly don’t limit our services to these venues. We’ll travel up to 30 miles from Loveland and bring all of our supplies to create your dream wedding anywhere you’d like.
Benson Sculpture Garden
Located just north of Lake Loveland, Benson Sculpture Garden is a local treasure. It features over 140 unique sculptures created by artists from all over the globe. It’s a beautiful place to walk around with your loved one and an even better place to get married. The brick gazebo is perfect for a microwedding or elopement, providing shade, close to a restroom, and with a scenic backdrop of trees.
Chapungu Sculpture Park
Chapungu Sculpture Park is a wonderful venue for a Loveland elopement. Its sprawling 26 acres of natural and landscaped gardens provide the perfect backdrop for a wedding. Chapungu also features 82 stone sculptures made by artists from Zimbabwe. Another thing that makes Chapungu ideal for an elopement is the excellent restaurants close by to celebrate afterward. The Promenade Shops at Centerra have a few upscale restaurants to choose from like Biaggi’s and Bent Fork.
North Lake Park
North Lake Park in Loveland is a versatile destination for a Loveland elopement. With Lake Loveland right across the street, several grassy areas overlooking a pond, mature trees, and other amenities, it has everything you need for a private microwedding. North Lake Park is the perfect park to get married in if you want to have your close friends and family grill out afterward, too.
Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park
If you’re dreaming of a mountain elopement in Loveland, Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park is ideal. It’s only a 20-minute drive from Downtown Loveland, and yet you’ll find yourself surrounded by towering canyon walls on either side of you and the rushing Big Thompson River at your side. Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park has lots of wide-open space to create a romantic elopement and essential amenities like restrooms and ample parking.
While these are some of our favorite places in Loveland, CO for an elopement, we’re open to your creativity, too! Carter Lake, Allenspark, Windsor, and Fort Collins are all within our travel radius and sure to have some dreamy locations for elopements.
